The Director of Music and the Choir Support Team manage the day-to-day running of the Choir. Alongside producing high-quality concerts, they work with local businesses to ensure the Choir remains at the forefront of the community and a free group for all. They do their work for free because they, like the Choir members, love to sing.
Director of Music
Charlie has been part of the St. Edmund’s Community all his life. In 2007 he became Assistant Organist and following this held the roles of Organist for St. Thomas of Canterbury and Assistant Director of Music. In September 2017, Charlie became Director of Music for the Parish.
Charlie continues to enhance the musical repertoire and capability of choir and Parish music using knowledge gained from a year’s sabbatical leading the chorister recruitment programme at Manchester Cathedral.
Charlie has had the pleasure of performing locally, nationally and internationally as an organist, choral director and with choirs including both of Liverpool’s cathedrals, La Madeleine, Paris and Barcelona Cathedral.
Away from the choir, Charlie works in the culture and heritage sector.
